Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, I have been a Chartered Physiotherapist and member of the Health Professions Council since qualifying in 2007 from Brighton University with a first-class Hons. Initially progressing through the NHS as MSK physiotherapist, working within hospitals in Kent and beyond. During this time I specialised in orthopaedic medicine, working alongside many of the top orthopaedic consultants, having a specific interest in Knee and Chronic low back conditions. Developing post operative speciality hip and Knee rehab classes that are still in use today. Having developed my skill base within the NHS and working at senior management level for many years.

Since 2020 I have been working in advanced practice and currently along with my private and insurance work, currently work as and FCP – First contact practioner within various GP surgeries. This role involves more triage and assessment of patients presenting to GP with MSK conditions, from my initial assessment I can then arrange onward investigations such as x-rays, MRI, Bloods or Referral to appropriate secondary care pathways such as pain clinics, orthopaedics etc.
Within this role I also regularly carry out Injection therapy wither that be corto-steroid or other medicines for common MSK problems such as shoulder and knee pain.

With a specific clinical interest in assessment and diagnosis – I am currently undertaking training in Ultrasound diagnosis and Ultrasound guided injection therapy. Along with independent prescribing of medicine.

I have worked with patients off all ages and varying degrees of MSK problems to acute mechanical back pain to chronic long-term conditions such as Rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis and hypermobility.

I also specialise in Acupuncture and facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
